A note on my car window

Friday night we went to the local Sunflower market to pick up some needed fruit and veggies.

We were driving my Honda Element with the Veteran's license plates and a couple of stickers on the rear door/window noting that I am a Vietnam Veteran.

When we came out of the market, there was a note tucked in the weather stripping on the driver's side door.

It was the top half of a store receipt and the handprinted note read:

Thank you for your service in Vietnam !

It was signed with a Vietnamese name.

That little note meant more to me than anyone can imagine.

In response, all I can say is:

The honor was all mine. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
